To get the maximum life of a sidewalk and avoid concrete crumbling and cracking, proper sidewalk edging is important (examples below).

To maintain a safe neighborhood and prevent slips, please clear snow from sidewalks within 24 hours of a storm. This keeps paths accessible for all residents. Please note that the DOPW is legally authorized to clear any remaining snow at the homeowner's expense.
